Northern Italy has been hit hard by the infectious corona virus and to date over 200 people have been infected and seven people have died. Today, Italian Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora announced that six games in the coming round will be played in front of empty stands. In other sports and leagues, the matches have been completely canceled, but for the Serie A matches it is about games for empty stands.

The measures are still limited to six regions in northern Italy and, according to Spadafora, there is still no need to broaden the measures.

Among the affected matches are the Juventus-Inter Grand Turin meeting, but also Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his Milan against Genoa at San Siro.

The Europa League match between Inter and Ludogorets on Thursday will be the first match to be played before empty stands in the coronavirus's surge waves.
