The Spanish Football Federation imposed a fine of 1,500 euros on Barcelona, and warned it against the possibility of closing its stadium at Camp Nou because the public threw projectiles during the 0-0 draw with Real Madrid last Wednesday.

Al-Ittihad issued a statement on its website today, Friday, in which it stated that it imposed the fine based on the provisions of the regulations that describe throwing projectiles towards the stadium as a "serious violation."

The match was halted in the 55th minute for a period of ninety seconds after throwing a number of beach balls at the stadium as part of protests against the imprisonment of nine separatist leaders for their role in a failed attempt to gain independence in Catalonia in 2017.

The match was postponed from October 26 due to the political turmoil that swept Catalonia after the leaders of the leaders who led the independence bid for the region two months ago were imprisoned, and the confrontation began amid pro-independence protests inside the stadium.
