Last week, the licensing committee announced that Östersunds FK will not receive an elite license for the coming season.
"The Licensing Board considers that Östersund's FK Elitfotboll AB does not meet the elite license criterion financial conditions for continued operation throughout the coming year.", The Swedish Football Association wrote on its website.

Appeals against the decision

Immediately after the decision, Östersunds FK announced that it will appeal the decision to the Board of Appeal by December 10.
And that's something the club is doing now.
- We are very optimistic and believe that the clarifying information we present will mean that the Board of Appeal will grant us elite license for 2020, says Lennart Ivarsson, CEO of ÖFK, to the club's website.

The club has a hope that a decision on the matter will be announced before Christmas. If the Board of Appeal goes on the licensing board's line, Östersund may appeal to the National Sports Board.
By March 1, 2020, the Swedish site must be filled. If Östersund does not play in allsvenskan next season, it is Brage who will be offered the place.
