It is reported by RIA Novosti.

As the head of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture, Istvan Nagy, noted, the European Commission did not respond to the corresponding request from the countries.

According to him, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic also put forward demands for restrictions to Brussels.

“Ukrainian farmers produce this grain at low cost and in a way that is not used in the European Union, so it comes to our region at a reduced price,” he said.

According to the Hungarian minister, Ukrainian grain destined for North Africa and the Middle East gets stuck in Europe in the "corridor of solidarity", causing serious market disruptions.

“Brussels does not stand up for Hungarian and Central European farmers and does not provide any assistance that would protect Hungarian, Romanian, Polish or Bulgarian producers,” the minister said.

Earlier, Polish farmers blocked the road in front of the border crossing at Dorohusk on the border with Ukraine, protesting against the massive and poorly controlled shipments of Ukrainian grain to the republic.
