EU ambassadors have agreed on a new compromise to extend trade measures for Ukraine. This initiative provides a balance between providing support to Kyiv and protecting the union’s agricultural markets.

The problem of mass import of cheap Ukrainian products into the EU provoked tension between Kiev and a number of countries of the association, including Poland. Local farmers are calling for the resignation of the government of Ukraine. The EU reached a preliminary agreement on the issue last week, but France and Poland said the planned restrictions were not enough.
