In addition, Sandu urged the Parliament to grant additional powers to the special services of the republic.

According to Danyuk, Sandu "is trying to turn Moldova into a second Ukraine."

“That is, to form the most Russophobic political regime, set the population against it, and I do not exclude, perhaps, also trying to destabilize the situation in the context of Transnistria, in the context of a military conflict,” he stressed.

The analyst suggested that all this requires, among other things, additional powers for the special services.

They, according to him, will be engaged in identifying people, political forces who "consider that Moldova is a hostage to Sandu's policy."

At the same time, Danyuk noted that relations with Russia are very important for Moldova, and “a frank attempt to side with the Zelensky regime and become another testing ground for NATO equipment is a road to nowhere.”

“These powers are the identification of so-called unreliable people… We have seen all this on the example of Ukraine, when alternative media and political forces are banned.

The situation is very similar in Moldova, the society is very divided.

There, the majority do not support the policy of Sandu, for the policy of joining Romania, for joining the rigid antagonism with Russia, ”the expert said.

As Danyuk explained, Sandu is apparently using the decision to expand the powers of the security services as the last tool to keep himself in power.

Earlier, Sandu spoke about the risk of destabilization in the country.

She also expressed the opinion that the parliament should give the Information and Security Service and the prosecutor's office "the opportunity to deal with risks to the country's security" as soon as possible.
