Filiz Paydas and her cousin will have to spend several nights in the car as they do not dare to enter any houses yet due to the aftershocks.

- I can't think clearly.

We are not sleeping, people are trying to help those who are under the racial masses but it doesn't seem like professional help has arrived yet so I'm afraid many are doing the wrong way when they go over the racial masses.

In the big city of Adana, five hours away, her cousin and her family are among the racial masses.

- They lived in a 14-storey high-rise.

We know they are not alive, but even dead they have not been allowed to come out yet, says Filiz Paydas.

People sleep outside in the cold

It has been cold and raining all night in Sanliurfa where two million people live.

People are sleeping outside and the shops are closed.

- If people have relatives or know someone who lives in a house, everyone tries to move there, but the rest of us are out.

We don't intend to go into the houses for a few more days because we can feel the car shaking.

Filiz's husband is a doctor at a nearby hospital and when she talks to him, the news is not good.

- He says that several dead people come in all the time and not so many alive.
