Altogether, three men stand accused in the trial, which, in addition to the Ängö word, concerns several other shootings in Kalmar.

In addition to the 27-year-old who is suspected of murder, two more men, a 29-year-old and a 27-year-old, are accused of serious weapons offences, attempted murder and causing danger to another.

One defendant failed to appear

The trial was supposed to start at nine o'clock on Monday morning, but only got underway after a half-hour delay.

Just minutes into the proceedings, the court president decided to adjourn, as one of the accused, the other 27-year-old man, did not attend.

He is charged with, among other things, attempted murder and aggravated weapons offense (the shooting at an apartment on Proviantgatan on February 16)

He was supposed to participate via link but did not appear.

The court therefore wanted to consider whether the negotiations could continue without him.

At 10:30 a.m. the trial resumed.

The message from the court was that the police should pick up the 27-year-old as soon as possible for the proceedings.

He is also fined SEK 4,000 for his absence.

It is only the 27-year-old accused of murder who is in custody and charged with the Ängo murder.
