- Then you felt that this will never be able to be repaired.

We will never again work in Skäggetorp as we have done, says Sanna Waller, area police.

Several cities in Sweden were hit by violent riots in Easter after the far-right party Stram Kurs received permission to hold demonstrations in various cities.

The party's leader Rasmus Paludan planned to burn the Koran during the demonstrations, which he did on Maundy Thursday in Jönköping, but not in Linköping and Norrköping - despite this, violence broke out in Östergötland.

Eleven sentenced to prison in Östergötland

So far, eleven have been convicted of gross sabotage against blue light operations in Östergötland.

Eight have been sentenced for the riots in Linköping and five for the riots in Navestad in Norrköping.

On Maundy Thursday, April 14, 28 police officers were injured in Skäggetorp, eight of whom were so seriously injured that they were forced to seek medical attention.

18 police vehicles were damaged – seven of these cars could not be used again.

After the riots

Now, eight months later, the area police in Skäggetorp say that they feel that in many ways they have a better relationship with the residents today, after the riots.

- We have received a very positive response from the public.

There are many who think that what happened was horrible and it feels like we have a better relationship with them now.

We get a lot of tips and cheers, says Sanna Waller.
