The Austrian news agency APA reported that the soldier on duty opened fire during an apparent argument and was then shot by the highest-ranking military officer.
"At the airfield barracks... guard soldier was killed and another soldier was wounded in an exchange of fire shortly before 7 am (0600 GMT)," ministry spokesman
