According to RIA Novosti, the relevant law came into force on Sunday, January 1, 2023.

According to the law, the heads of state bodies undertake to reduce electricity consumption at the facilities entrusted to them by 10%.

It is noted that in buildings used for the defense of the state, as well as at facilities that make up critical infrastructure, electricity consumption is not taken into account.

Failure to fulfill obligations to save electricity provides for fines of up to PLN 20,000.

Britain has previously urged citizens to reduce their energy consumption as part of a campaign to reduce demand for electricity and natural gas ahead of skyrocketing prices this winter.
