States announce accelerated expansion of nuclear power at international summits. Around 30 countries around the world want to work towards faster expansion.

Nuclear power is criticized primarily because of the high risks, as shown by the reactor disasters in Chernobyl, and in Fukushima, Japan. Experts complain that the technology is not suitable for making a difference in the fight against the climate crisis due to the long construction times of the reactors. The participants called on international financial institutions such as the World Bank to increase their support for nuclear projects.
