While many encourage him to run for the next election, Ali Bongo has not yet officially declared himself, even if in his speech, the achievements he listed hint at his desire to get into the race.

“

In less than fifteen years, Gabon has more than changed.

We have moved from all-oil to a more diversified economy

 ,” he said.

“

On the diplomatic level, our country has established itself as a major, respected, appreciated for its stability, its reliability in the fight for the climate.

Gabon is considered a driving force and last October, Gabon once again successfully chaired the UN Security Council.

The battle for employment that we are waging, the improvement of our infrastructure, the water supply, or even the fight for gender equality…

 ”, he said.

“

These successes must be remembered.

But (I am) far from content with that, because for Gabon, I have even greater

ambitions

, very high ambitions, the highest ambitions.

This is why I count on you, on your work to help me.

Help Gabon to go even higher and even further

”, also declared the Gabonese head of state.

What a pleasure to find the big family of the @pdg2R on the occasion of this 12th Congress.

And what fervor!

In #Gabon, only our party is capable of such mobilization.

We are all gathered here to prepare Gabon after.

A more ambitious, stronger, bigger Gabon!
