The truck is now heading for the town of Berdichev, which is approximately 20 miles west of the capital, Kyiv.
There is a distribution center that receives materials from countries that want to support Ukraine.
Trucks and minibuses with materials and supplies arrive there every day.
- The Ukrainians have done a heroic job of ensuring that the materials have arrived where they are really needed to 50 different places inside Ukraine, says Jörgen Ruther.
Christmas gifts, food and hygiene items
Through Sam-hjälp's contacts in Ukraine, the organization finds out what the Ukrainian people need.
The truck is expected to weigh around 20 tonnes when fully packed.
The cargo includes diesel heaters, hygiene items, food and Christmas presents.
The majority of Christmas presents are given by private individuals but also by local companies and organisations.
