Mexican capital, Mexico City, is in the grip of a historic drought that threatens its water supply. Hundreds of neighborhoods have already been faced with cuts or even a complete absence of running water.

The cause is the “reduction of flow in the Cutzamala system”, a network of dams which provides 25% of the water in the city and its surroundings. If the level continues its dizzying fall, the authorities no longer rule out the possibility of a total cutoff.
