  According to reports, in accordance with the 2022 China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand Mekong Joint Patrol and Law Enforcement Work Plan and the consensus reached by the law enforcement agencies of China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand, during this operation, the law enforcement agencies of the four countries will be 11 kilometers away from the upper reaches of the "Golden Triangle" of the Mekong River. Moshui held the "Watch-2022" joint exercise.

The drill focuses on combating smuggling, drugs and other crimes by water and land, and aims to test and improve the joint operations, emergency response and coordinated combat capabilities of law enforcement officers from China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.

The 53,102 and 53,106 Chinese boats participating in the exercise have arrived in the exercise waters as planned in the early stage.

  In addition, during the operation, the Chinese side will rotate the China-Laos-Myanmar-Thailand Mekong River Joint Patrol and Law Enforcement Team stationed at the contact points of Mong Mo and Ban Xiangguo in Laos.

  It is reported that before the operation, the law enforcement agencies of China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand also held a joint meeting of operation commanders and an information exchange meeting in the form of video to jointly analyze and judge the recent situation of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in the Mekong River Basin and the situation of cross-border crimes, and discuss the fight against cross-border crimes measure.
