On March 1, the simultaneous joint law enforcement operation for the spring fishing ban in the Pearl River Basin in 2024 was officially launched in Gaoming District, Foshan City. Agricultural and rural departments and fishery law enforcement agencies from four provinces including Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, and Yunnan attended the event.
It is reported that the implementation of thePearl River closed fishing season system is a long-term move to implement relevant national regulations, protect the ecological environment of Pearl River waters, and promote the sustainable development of fisheries.
