In the appeal, the legislator noted that currently, when selling subscriptions, fitness clubs, as a rule, prescribe in the contract the right to freeze the agreement for one month, providing customers with the opportunity to use personal vacation at their discretion without losing the validity of the subscription.

However, these contracts today do not actually take into account the fact that the client can miss classes due to illness, paying for the unused subscription period in connection with this.

A similar situation occurs with subscriptions to swimming pools and sports sections, where clients are not always compensated for classes missed due to illness, the parliamentarian noted.

“In this regard, I ask you to consider the possibility of introducing mandatory compensation for the subscription period in a fitness club, the number of missed classes in the pool or in the sports section for clients who have a sick leave for the corresponding period of time,” the text of the appeal says.

Earlier it became known that a professional standard for fitness trainers and sports specialists in universities and schools will be approved in Russia.
