In January, the government presents the first bill with proposals aimed at stopping gang crime.

The case is currently being prepared in the Government Office and according to Ekot, the government and the Sweden Democrats have decided that they want to introduce the penalty provision: the promotion of youth crime.

This means that it becomes a criminal offense to involve persons under the age of 18 in a criminal activity.

The sentence for the crime can be a maximum of four years, according to the proposal.

The idea is that this will reduce the risk of young people being drawn into criminal networks.

More people should be able to be detained

Several other political ideas that the Tidö parties pushed during the election campaign also look set to become reality.

According to Ekot's information, the government will make a proposal aimed at allowing more people to be detained while awaiting trial.

The preposition also contains a proposal that people convicted of gang crimes should be able to serve a sentence that is higher than the maximum sentence.
