The power hierarchy of the next Chinese leadership has been revealed.

China held the first plenary session (first plenary session) of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing today (23rd) to elect members of the Politburo, and among them, the Standing Committee, the supreme leadership, was confirmed.

Afterwards, the new Standing Committee attended the press conference, and President Xi Jinping took the lead and took the podium in the following order: Li Chang, the current secretary of Shanghai, Zhao Leji, the secretary of the Central Discipline Inspection Committee, and Wang Huning, the secretary of the Central Secretariat.

By convention, the order of appearance on the podium is the order of power of the Chinese leadership over the next five years.

Secretary Li Chang is considered a close confidant of President Xi Jinping.

In addition to Secretary Li Chang, Beijing Secretary Tsai Qi, Director of the Central Office of Public Affairs Ding Xuexiang, and Secretary of Guangdong Province Li Shi joined the Standing Committee, and as a result, all seven new Standing Committee members were filled with Xi Jinping affiliates.

Among the seven members of the standing committee, Premier Li Keqiang, of a different faction from President Xi Jinping, Wang Yang, President of the National People's Political Consultative Conference, and Deputy Prime Minister Han Han were all eliminated from the next leadership.

In addition, as Ri Jan-su, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, resigned due to age restrictions, a majority of the supreme leadership was expected to be replaced.

Xi Jinping's third term in office was inaugurated today, and in fact, Xi Jinping's one-man rule has been established.
