A 52-year-old man and a 27-year-old shopkeeper were sentenced last Thursday to four years in prison, two of which were suspended on probation, by the Fontainebleau criminal court (Seine-et-Marne).

They were found guilty of a violent assault with forcible confinement on a 19-year-old young man, committed in Nemours on September 14;

reports The Republic of Seine-et-Marne.

The victim was the boyfriend of the defendant's 16-year-old daughter.

The father and his employer had set a trap for the young man before hitting him and forcing him to strip naked.

He had been sequestered for 45 minutes and had received a total incapacity for work (ITT) for six days.

A story of revenge?

During the trial, the lawyers explained that the man and the woman had acted to end the harassment that the teenager suffered.

The father was kept in detention after the hearing and the grocer was placed under a warrant of committal.

After the arrest of the fifties, his daughter had been placed in a foster family;
