When the Swedish Academy presented the winner at lunchtime, it was broadcast live on a large screen at Sundsvall's city library.

After it was clear that Annie Ernaux had won, only a few of her books were available for loan.

- It's always a bit exciting to get them out as quickly as possible, says Andreas Ignell, library communicator.

One of those who managed to borrow a book was Erika Östman from Sundsvall.

- It was a bit unexpected considering the competitors she had.

But it is very interesting that it is a woman, that it is in Europe and France, she says.
