Putin signs the annexation of the four Ukrainian regions to Russia

Today, Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the instrument of ratification of the accession agreements with the Russian Federation of four regions of Ukraine partially controlled by Russia.

The four regions where referendums were held recently are Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia.

Putin appointed governors at the head of the four regions, namely, Denis Pushilin, governor of the Donetsk Republic, Leonid Pasichnik at the head of the Luhansk People's Republic, Vladimir Saldo, acting governor of Kherson region, and Yevgeny Balitsky, governor of Zaporizhia region.
