Strike renewed in the refineries of TotalEnergies

The strike movement launched Tuesday, September 27 in France in the refineries of TotalEnergies, at the call of the CGT, has been renewed.
Three of the five French refineries would be concerned.
The demands relate mainly to the revaluation of wages.

If two refineries in the process of conversion have suspended the movement, the other refining sites and fuel depots are continuing the strike, Pedro Afonso, elected CGT at the Feyzin refinery in the Rhône, told AFP.
TotalEnergies ensures for its part that only the Normandy refinery is currently on strike.
The latter represents more than 20% of the country's refining capacity.
But the strikes do not only affect TotalEnergies.
Since September 20, a social movement has also been engaged in the Normandy refinery of Esso-Exxon Mobil.
The CGT aims for a long-term movement.
Stated objective: to complicate the supply of fuel to service stations.
In September, some stations have already been faced with disruptions.
The attendants had seen a 30% increase in attendance following the discounts granted by the group.
TotalEnergies wants to be reassuring on this side.
The major claims to have put in additional logistical resources to resupply its network.
