  • Question of trust Pere Aragonès calls an extraordinary meeting of the Government after the threat of Junts per Catalunya

The general secretary of Junts per Catalunya, Jordi Turull, has assured that the councilors of the Generalitat of his party have made their position available to the Executive of the formation, which meets this Thursday to make a decision on whether or not they remain in the Government.

"The ministers close ranks with the party and have made their position available to Junts," he stated in an interview on Rac1 hours after the dismissal of the vice president of the Generalitat, Jordi Puigneró, communicated by Pere Aragonès.

Turull has assured that after this dismissal they feel "quite expelled" from the Government and sees it increasingly difficult to redirect the situation with ERC.

Junts' response comes after the Catalan president, the Republican, Pere Aragonès, hit the table and dismissed his vice president of Junts per Catalunya,

Jordi Puigneró

.

The Catalan president justified his decision by "the loss of confidence" in his

number two

, which did not inform him about the intentions of the post-convergence parliamentary group

to

ask him to submit to a question of confidence if he does not offer "guarantees of complying with the investiture agreements ".
