Arrested on Thursday for lack of a driver's license, a 46-year-old man was tried in immediate appearance on Monday in Puy-de-Dôme.

The man had bought a fake license on the Internet for 500 euros, reports La Montagne.

It is a motorist who allowed his arrest.

The latter alerted the gendarmes to the dangerous behavior of a driver, the defendant, on the A75 in Sauvagnat-Sainte-Marthe.

By checking him, the soldiers found that his driving license was fake.

Also, the car was not insured.

One year in prison

Repeat offender, the forties has already been convicted 23 times, including 11 for lack of driving license.

The defendant claimed to have already passed the exam, without success.

He was eventually sentenced to one year in prison with continued detention.

His car was also confiscated.
