The Russian Ministry of Defense reported about the shelling of the meeting place of the IAEA mission by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

“From 8:00 Moscow time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been shelling the meeting point of the IAEA mission in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Vasilyevka and the Zaporozhye NPP,” the message says.

The department reported that four shells exploded at a distance of 400 meters from the first power unit of the nuclear power plant.

As stated in the Ministry of Defense, the provocation is aimed at disrupting the arrival of the IAEA working group at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

Earlier, the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia”, the chairman of the branch of the Russian Historical Society of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, in the RT stream “Letuchka” said that the IAEA delegation left the city of Zaporozhye in the direction of Energodar and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

The Ukrainian military have been shelling Energodar since the early morning of September 1.

At the moment, three civilians are known to have died, and one more was injured.
