The purpose of the clip was partly to give support to Marin, but also to direct criticism at the media.

The Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, has also commented on the incident as, according to him, there were good reasons to go out and celebrate Finland's NATO membership.
- If the Prime Minister of Finland drank a little more vodka than usual and danced, there is nothing terrible about it.
