The General Office of National Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Management, together with the State Grain and Material Reserve Bureau, urgently dispatched the central drought relief materials to support the drought relief work in Chongqing. The allocated materials include 130 (sets) gasoline generators, 100 (sets) diesel generator sets, 170 (sets) of water pumps, 60 (sets) of sprinkler irrigation units and other drought-resistant equipment worth 11.67 million yuan.
It is reported that this batch of materials will be allocated as needed in accordance with the principle of "living first, production later" and according to the actual work of heatstroke and drought prevention and disaster prevention and mitigation in various districts and counties in Chongqing.
And from August 20th, they will be delivered to the disaster-stricken points one after another to alleviate the drinking water difficulties of humans and animals, reduce industrial and agricultural disasters and promote income, and provide solid material guarantees for drought relief and disaster reduction.
