Zelensky rejects any peace with Russia before its forces withdraw from Ukraine

On Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky refused to conduct any peace negotiations with Moscow before the prior withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory.

“People are killing, violating and striking our civilian cities with cruise missiles every day, they cannot want peace. They must first leave our lands,” Zelensky said at a press conference in Lviv in western Ukraine, with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Then we'll see," he said, stressing that he "doesn't trust Russia."
