Adviser to the Prime Minister of Hungary spoke about the successful filling of underground gas storage facilities

According to him, according to the research institute Klímapolitikai Intézet, Hungary is "in the forefront" in the European Union in terms of filling gas storage facilities.

He noted that Hungary's gas supply is secured. 

“The volume of gas in storage accounts for 34% of total annual consumption, 141% of winter consumption and 82% of annual domestic consumption,” Orban said. 

On August 13, the State Secretary of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Tamas Menzer, announced the start of additional gas supplies to Hungary by Gazprom in excess of the established contracts via Turkish Stream.
