“In the event of a nuclear war, bombs aimed at cities and industrial areas will lead to firestorms, the release of significant volumes of combustion particles into the upper atmosphere, which will spread throughout the planet and lead to its rapid cooling,” the report says.

Analysts have warned that these contaminations will affect the food production system on land and in the oceans.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that there can be no winners in a nuclear war and it should never be unleashed.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow is not playing with the topic of nuclear war.

Lavrov noted that the inadmissibility of nuclear war is Russia's principled position.
