It was during the summer of 2017 that the man was sentenced to prison for three months after an assault.
According to the verdict, the man allegedly kicked a young girl in the face when she tried to walk around him.
In connection with the assault, the girl suffered pain, tenderness, swelling and bruising.
"Taking into account the relatively limited physical damage that XX caused, and since it can therefore be assumed that it was not a question of a strong kick, the district court considers that the punishment corresponds to imprisonment for 3 months"
, writes Luleå district court in the judgment.
Escapes serving his sentence
The convicted person, who denied the act, however, lacked a known current address and could not be reached by an order to stop.
The Correctional Service now announces that the penalty has lapsed by statute of limitations because the sentence has not begun to be enforced within five years of the sentence gaining legal force.
