“I believe she expressed the opinion of many of her colleagues, given the anti-Russian hysteria that is now characteristic of many Western countries,” the senator wrote.

According to Pushkov, Russia needs to take tough retaliatory measures in response to the behavior of an employee of the Norwegian consulate.

“The answer should not be politically correct: she should be immediately expelled from Russia and, at a minimum, Oslo should be warned that any racist attack on Russian citizens will directly affect the work of the Norwegian diplomatic departments in our country,” the senator emphasized.

Earlier, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry spoke about the employee of the Norwegian consulate who hates Russians.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Ellingsen's behavior in a Russian hotel was an act of hatred and nationalism.
