In April 2021, a man travels with his electric scooter, on the Ile du Ramier in Toulouse, in the middle of the day.
Until he crosses paths with another rather malicious man.
The latter indeed points a weapon at the owner of the scooter and bluntly asks him to give it to him.
Faced with the threat, the victim complies, but when his attacker leaves, he tears off his cap.
Already in detention
And when he goes to file a complaint at the police station, he does not forget the precious headgear.
It is indeed thanks to him that the police officers of the unit for damage to property of the departmental security of the Pink City were able to trace the alleged thief.
Traces of his DNA were indeed on the cap.
But when the results came in, the man was nowhere to be found.
He resurfaced recently... In detention.
It was at the Seysses remand center that the police went to look for him to place him in custody.
He did not acknowledge the facts, but confirmed that it was his cap.
He will have to explain himself next June during a summons to court.
