China News Service, July 9. According to the Argentine Chinese Network, Argentina's Health Minister Vizzotti announced on the afternoon of the 8th that infants and young children over 6 months will be vaccinated against the new crown, using the Modena vaccine.

The first 1.4 million doses of the vaccine for children will arrive in Argentina on July 25 and can be used for children under 3 years old.

"Argentina has advanced all steps with Modena's laboratory to obtain approval for use by the National Food and Drug Administration (ANMAT), as well as the modification of the contract to make it suitable for infants and young children over 6 months," said Vizzotti.

According to him, like most other vaccines, the vaccine is also two doses.

In addition, it is noted that it can also be used for booster vaccinations for children aged 3 to 5 years.

"Argentina is one of the first countries in the world to vaccinate children under the age of three."

Just in mid-June of this year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Moderna children's vaccine.

According to the FDA, the Moderna vaccine is about 51 percent effective in preventing symptomatic infections in children 6 to 24 months old and about 37 percent effective in children 2 to 5 years old.
