Kommersant: retailers began importing electronics to Russia through parallel imports

As a representative of Svyaznoy told the publication, the import of smartphones, laptops, smart watches from Samsung, Apple, as well as PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo game consoles has begun in Russia.

According to him, the total assortment has expanded by more than a hundred positions.

Earlier it became known that the State Duma adopted a law according to which companies that import goods into Russia without the permission of the copyright holder are exempted from criminal and administrative liability.

In May, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade approved the list of goods allowed for parallel imports into the country.

Georgy Ostapkovich, director of the Center for Market Research at the Institute for Statistical Research and Economics of Knowledge at the Higher School of Economics, in an interview with RT, commented on the adoption by the State Duma of a law on the legalization of parallel imports to Russia.
