“Officers of the police special forces of the Russian Guard detained 12 people in civilian clothes, without documents.
The detainees are allegedly deserters from various parts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the statement said.
In order to conduct further proceedings, they were taken to the commandant's office.
The Russian Defense Ministry previously reported that one of the platoons of Ukrainian troops left their positions in the Lisichansk region, leaving heavy weapons there.
It was also noted that from 5,000 to 8,000 Ukrainian militants are concentrated in different directions in Lisichansk.
