This is stated in a message on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The head of the diplomatic mission was strongly protested in connection with the ban imposed by Vilnius without prior notification of the Russian side on the rail transit of a large range of goods through the territory of Lithuania to the Kaliningrad region,” the Foreign Ministry noted.

Earlier, Kaliningrad Governor Anton Alikhanov noted that three proposals had already been put forward in the region for response to Lithuania's decision to restrict transit.

According to him, they may also affect the transport complex of the Baltic states.
