Sharjah Charity: "Hamad Dirham" contributes to the implementation of projects worth .18.3 million

The Sharjah Charity Society stated that the "Hamad Dirham" initiative, concerned with deducting one dirham from the accounts of service subscribers daily, contributed to the implementation of charitable and humanitarian projects and works inside and outside the country, at a financial cost of 18.3 million dirhams, donated by more than 30,000 subscribers from 2017 until the end of May of this year. .

Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of Sharjah Charity, called on benefactors to join and subscribe to the "Hamad Dirham" service, which opened the door to placing simple alms at a value of one dirham to be deducted from the call balance account on a daily basis...noting that the entire value of the donation reaches the association to be delivered To those who deserve it through the total amount of in-kind assistance provided to those who deserve it in the form of study aid, relief from distress, building mosques and food feeding projects.

According to the association's report, the donations of the "Al-Hamad Dirham" service contributed to providing food to more than 500 needy families. It was also able to relieve the distress of many people with low incomes, establish three water desalination plants in Egypt, and provide treatment for many sick cases within the country. The project management was also completed. The guarantees are a package of important service projects that represent the urban areas in remote areas in the countries covered by the projects and works of the association.

The report indicated that the fruits of the "Had Dirham" projects were spread in Malawi, Mauritania, Niger, South Africa, India, Liberia, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and the Republic of Chad, as well as Zimbabwe, Bosnia, Egypt, Sudan, Kenya and some cases of low-income residents within the country, in addition to the implementation of a number of important projects within the country. In cooperation with the competent institutions, including the establishment of the Qatat Mosque at a cost of 1.8 million dirhams, the association also contributed to the “distance learning” initiative by providing computers for indigent students during the Corona pandemic period, in addition to making a contribution to purchasing some medical devices needed for members of the Trust Club for the Disabled. Supporting the Hajj and Umrah facilitation project and enabling many people with limited income to perform the rituals of Hajj and Umrah.

In continuation of the path of giving and its permanence, and in confirmation of the vitality of the "A dirham of praise" service, the service's donations contributed to supporting the projects of the Sent Wind Program, with a value of 640,000 dirhams during Ramadan for the year 2021, in addition to 590,000 similar ones during Ramadan 2022.

The service donations also supported projects to relieve distressed and insolvent housing rents and support the association’s campaign in the Republic of Kenya, in addition to allocating about 1.4 million dirhams to implement a number of internal aid programs.

Ibn Khadem expressed his hope to raise the number of subscribers to the service, which allows a simple donation in an easy and simple way through the code 1110 for subscribers of Etisalat and the code 1011 for subscribers of the service from customers of the company "Du".
