In the first year, the monthly salary is increased by SEK 1,500.

After that, the salary stops rising.

The idea is that more elderly people will continue to work within the municipality and contribute their experience.

- We need to become better as employers at adapting work to the elderly's ability to work and to maintain skills and motivate the elderly to stay longer in working life, says municipal councilor Denisé Cassel (KD).

The extra money is part of the municipality's larger investment in more and more of the elderly staying.

To be able to take part of the money, you must have worked in Linköping municipality at some point in the last three years.
