It was on Friday afternoon that the public sounded the alarm that a motorcycle was riding at high speed on cycle paths in Vallby and Bäckby.
After a while, the police were able to arrest the two men.
One of them, a 19-year-old man written in Västerås, was at the time armed with a sharp-edged weapon.
He is arrested on probable cause on suspicion of a felony.
The other man, an 18-year-old man registered in Heby who was also arrested on Friday, is reasonably detained on suspicion of a felony.
The men were initially suspected of attempted murder, something that the district court does not choose to arrest them both for.
