China News Service, June 8 (Xinhua) According to the Chinese website of the United States, a 2-year-old child in Florida found a loaded pistol at his home and accidentally shot and killed his father.
The child's mother, Marie Ayala, faces charges including manslaughter.
According to reports, the shooting occurred on May 26 at a home in East Orlando.
Ayala was home with her husband, Reggie Mabry, and their three children at the time.
The ages of the children were 5 years, 2 years and 5 months old.
According to court documents, Ayala told law enforcement officials that Marbury was playing video games with her children. Ayala heard the loud noise and went to check the cause, and then found her husband had been shot and fell to the ground.
The 5-year-old told police that the 2-year-old brother shot at the father.
Ayala also confirmed this.
The police believe that the gun was not properly stored, and the 2-year-old child could easily find the gun, which led to the tragedy.
