Hurricane Agatha kills 11 in Mexico

Murat said the local government has set up 240 temporary shelters to help the affected people.
Lopez expressed his condolences at the press conference and hoped to find the missing as soon as possible.
Hurricane "Agatha" made landfall in the coastal area of Oaxaca on the afternoon of May 30, local time. It was designated as a Category 2 hurricane before it landed. As the wind gradually weakened as it moved inland, it dissipated on the 31st.
Oaxaca was the worst hit, and the neighboring states of Chiapas, Veracruz, Yucatan, etc. were affected by heavy rainfall, but no casualties were reported.
Tropical cyclones typically hit Mexico's Pacific and Atlantic coasts between May and November each year.
According to the National Weather Service of Mexico, 30 to 40 tropical cyclones will occur in the Pacific and Atlantic regions this year.
