The ultra-right is in the sights of justice.

An operation "in connection with the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office" and targeting "the movement of the ultra-right" was underway this Tuesday in Alsace.

"The homes of several people" are being searched for weapons, we learned from the Haut-Rhin prefecture.

This operation, carried out by a Parisian judge, "was carried out simultaneously in several places located in the Bas-Rhin and in the Haut-Rhin", indicated the prefecture, confirming information from the regional daily

Les Derniers Nouvelles d'Alsace

(DNA ).

These "administrative visits", carried out "in conjunction with the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office", were always at the start of the afternoon.

They mobilize 200 gendarmes from the Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin groups and the research section of Strasbourg, supported by the intervention group of the national gendarmerie (GIGN) and assisted by specialized research resources.

"These checks and this action relate to the acquisition and illegal possession of weapons by individuals linked to the ultra-right movement", according to the prefecture, which did not immediately specify whether arrests or seizures had taken place.
