A 40-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman appeared on Tuesday for robbery with violence before the judicial court of Troyes (Aube).

On March 28, 2022, they attacked a 62-year-old mentally retarded man in Bar-sur-Seine (Aube) known to the respondent.

The victim had ended up in the dark, tied to a chair and gagged with a belt.

The man had managed to free himself but, in shock, had not given the alert until the next day, says

In court, the woman explained that she wanted to recover the victim's car to "go get some coconut".

The man admitted to having drunk too much and having "done anything".

The suspect was known to the police.

The court pronounced for each a sentence of 18 months in prison, including six accompanied by a probationary suspension, and a reinforced follow-up for the young woman.

The two thieves will not be able to hold a weapon or come into contact with the victim, whom they will have to compensate him.
