In the hell of Matignon and soon in the electoral arena.

Elisabeth Borne was appointed Prime Minister Monday evening by Emmanuel Macron.

The former Minister of Labor now has a few hours to compose her government and tackle the first reforms, in particular the implementation of the food check in a context of high inflation.

But at the same time, it will have to fight the battle for the legislative elections, scheduled for June 12 and 19.

A high-risk challenge especially since on this ballot, the old “techno” is playing its skin.

8:41 a.m.: Borne to be… in Calvados

During her transfer of power with Jean Castex, Elisabeth Borne cited the “international situation” and the “climate and ecological challenge” as priorities.

She will also be responsible for leading the legislative battle to obtain a majority in the Assembly and should "maintain her candidacy in the 6th constituency of Calvados".

The opponent of Elisabeth Borne's Nupes in this constituency denounced Monday, in a press release, the "disastrous record" that she "shares" with Emmanuel Macron.

12 p.m.: "Retire the Prime Minister in June"

“To face the Prime Minister is a beautiful symbol, but that does not change anything on the bottom of our campaign, our proposals remain the same”, entrusted Noé Gauchard, this Tuesday morning, to 20 Minutes.

“We continue to defend a project in complete opposition to that of Emmanuel Macron.

We therefore want to retire its Prime Minister in June, so that her term of office is as short as possible.

Because Elisabeth Borne embodies the worst of the last five years of macronism: the gradual privatization of the RATP, the SNCF reform, climate inaction and the terrible unemployment insurance.

It is also the worst of the next five years, with retirement at 65, ”added the opponent of the Nupes of Elisabeth Borne in Calvados.

And to conclude: “It will be four intense weeks of campaign.

Voters will be able to vote against the Prime Minister, who recently found roots in Calvados.

"What we observed for the previous presidential election is also found in the voting intentions for the first round of the legislative elections", analyzes the note written by Antoine Bristielle, director of the Opinion Observatory of the Jean-Jaurès Foundation. .
