A 16-year-old teenager died in a road accident near Autrans-Méaudre in Vercors (Isère), on the night of this Saturday to Sunday.

, the victim - from Villard-de-Lans - was in the back of a car driven by a 20-year-old man.

Two other young people aged 16 and 20 were also on board.

The driver reportedly lost control of his car after swerving to the left of the road.

The vehicle then ended up in a low wall.

Two passengers and driver injured

One of the young boys was in cardio-respiratory arrest when the firefighters arrived.

Paramedics were unable to resuscitate him.

The front passenger had to be extricated from the car.

He was transported to Grenoble University Hospital in serious condition.

According to our colleagues, the third passenger was also seriously injured, the driver being less affected.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the gendarmes of the Villard-de-Lans brigade to try to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
