Six glasses are lined up on the white shelf against the kitchen wall.

Likewise, many cups, saucers and plates.

There is no more crockery in this kitchen.

"I don't need more," says Christine Langer.

She rarely hosts many guests.

They would have no place at their round, white dining table anyway.

The clear number of crockery, but also pots and pans, is sufficient for them.

A family of four would certainly not be able to cope with it.

For Langer, however, this conscious choice is not just an expression of an attitude towards life, but also part of her work.

Because she works as an order coach.

For five years she has been helping people who want to bring more order into their lives, literally, on their way to more clarity in the house, apartment and office.

It goes without saying that she also keeps her own apartment in order above the rooftops of Gießen's city centre.

Of course she cleaned up before the visit.

But of course her apartment is not completely “free of dust collectors”.

She points to a green plant on a tall cabinet and some utensils on the edge of the sink.

It's really messy in her office.

Although that is probably more seen through the glasses of the order fans.

After all, only a few cables are visible here, and a book or two are lying on the desk instead of in their place on the shelf.

Your customers have completely different concerns.

"Organization coach with a heart"

Questions like: “Do people need help with everything these days?

Can't they clean up on their own?” Langer knows all too well.

Your order situation allows only one answer: yes, many people obviously need help to put their environment in order.

And not just for the moment, but for the long term.

And, no, many don't manage to keep their four walls tidy.

As a rule, they simply have not learned to sort themselves.

They prefer to hoard, buy, store.

Because one or the other could be useful again.

Langer believes that we all usually have too much: too many clothes, too many books, too much stuff that we don't want to part with for various reasons.

We bought because the advertisements suggested that we definitely had to have this and that.

On the other hand, because many things have become so much cheaper, says the specialist.

Buying is much easier than it used to be, when things still had their value and price.

There are now many order coaches.

What is special about Langer is that she used to work as a surgeon, was employed at the hospital and worked as a resident doctor.

She knows what precision means.

After she retired, she built up her second professional mainstay: she became a “tidiness coach with a heart”, as she calls herself.

The woman from Gießen was tidy all her life.

"Probably because my mom was so messy," she recalls.

She has also cleaned up for family members in the past.

At some point she helped an acquaintance who advised her to get the tidying up professionally.

That's what she did, got a website and took money for her work.

An hour with her costs 40 euros.
