Xianning Intermediate People's Court held a first-instance public hearing on Li Tie, the former head coach of the Chinese National Men's Football Team. The court alleged that Li Tie illegally accepted a total of more than 50.89 million yuan in RMB from others.

Li Tie made a final statement and expressed his guilt and repentance in court. At the end of the trial, the court adjourned and announced the verdict at a later date. More than 40 people including NPC deputies, CPPCC members, journalists and people from all walks of life attended the trial.
